Month to Month Activity

Just a short information bit about each month's activity in the Town of Evansville

February  2026

February was a slow month with 343 incidents

End of the year      2025

In 2025, there were 5,514 incidents reported, reflecting a 3.5% decrease in the most serious offenses. Fridays were the busiest day of the week. The department maintained an average citation-to-stop ratio of 1:4, with the majority of interactions resolved through warnings and educational measures, emphasizing a preventive and community-focused approach rather than strictly punitive enforcement. Evansville, Wyoming officers tend to be a small, generalist force where each officer must cover many different duties, handling everything from patrol and traffic enforcement to community outreach and emergency response.

End of the year 2024

In 2024, the department responded to over 5,348 incidents, encompassing both reactive and proactive activities. Compared to the previous year, there was a 32.8% increase in the most serious offenses. This increase is partly attributed to the filling of several previously vacant positions, as increased staffing has led to greater proactive enforcement and, consequently, a higher number of reported incidents.

Fridays were the busiest day of the week, with 1,012 incidents recorded, due in part to additional patrol efforts funded through impact overtime. Officers issued 549 citations in 2024, accounting for just over 10% of the total incidents handled.

End of the Year 2023

At the end of 2023, the agency recorded 4,834 total cases, a decrease of 807 cases from the previous year, along with 215 stray animal incidents, 84 individuals with warrants, and 107 disturbances. Compared to other Wyoming agencies reporting to NIBRS, this case volume is typical for a mid-sized jurisdiction, with larger agencies like Cheyenne and Casper handling higher totals due to population size. The relatively high number of animal-related calls highlights a notable service workload. Overall, these figures place the agency in a moderate activity range relative to its peers, with service-oriented calls slightly elevated but within expected operational norms
